BDO Avocats, the French legal practice within the French BDO network created less than two years ago, continues its rapid development, and announces the acquisition of LEXAW.

LEXAW, a law firm specialised in business law, based in the west of France (La Roche-sur-Yon and Nantes), has been working together with BDO for several years.  Both firms share important common values - proximity and excellence - and the acquisition illustrates BDO Avocats' ambitious growth strategy.

As a result of the new partnership, BDO Avocats, until today exclusively based in Paris, is now tapping into in the “Grand West” region, thus increasing its territorial network, reflecting the presence of BDO in 45 offices in France.

With this merger, BDO Avocats has almost doubled in size, counting nearly 50 employees, including 12 partners.

Six new partners join BDO Avocats: Mélanie JOSSE (Corporate Law), Nicolas LATOURNERIE (Employment Law), Stephanie LEMIERE (Corporate Law), Thomas LERMITE (General Tax), Olivier MORINO (Restructuring) and Stéphane MIGNE (Commercial Law and Litigation).

They reinforce the existing expertise within BDO Avocats: General Tax, Transfer Pricing, VAT and Customs, Executive and Expatriate Tax, Corporate Law and Employment Law. BDO Avocats has also added new skills with the creation of several departments - Corporate Restructuring, Commercial Law and Litigation - confirming its capability to support our clients’ growth journeys, from SMEs to large accounts.

The complementary of the different profiles as well as the strong multidisciplinary offer of BDO Avocats, will allow the new team to provide clients with the best possible service, including specific solutions to a wide range of legal and tax issues.

I am very confident about the synergies and potential of this acquisition, which reflects other external growth operations that support the strong business dynamic experienced by our firm."

Trond-Morten Lindberg, representing BDO International in his role as CEO for EMEA, concludes: “I appreciate the way our French partners keep investing in our clients’ needs, aiming to provide them the best possible service. By expanding the existing expertise, all our French and our international clients operating in France, can now get instant access to a well-established and skilled legal team.
